Yes.
A: IEPG is an informal group that meets before it ?official? IETF
B: I don?t care about the World Cup (at all) but some people do and, more
importantly
C: there is basically no downsides to being nice and starting an hour
earlier for people in group B.

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad idea in
the first place.
This is like putting rabid weasels in your pants, and later expressing
regret at having chosen those particular rabid weasels and that pair of
pants.

My point is if we then will do the same next time for a world swimming
competitions or world boxing competitions, etc. ?
I really feel surprising and discriminatory for other sports or ?whatever else?
clash next time with IEPG, never mind is official IETF item or not.

Jordi

Dear all,
Stephen pointed out that the IEPG meeting conflicts with the World Cup Final,
and so we are starting the IEPG meeting at 9:00 (instead of 10:00) this time.
