The IETF Administration LLC has now concluded a series of consultations on the
IETF Meeting venue identification and selection process. The new process is
fully described in
https://www.ietf.org/how/meetings/planning/
This process makes use of three new forms:
- IETF Venue Recommendation Form (IETF Participants) [1]
- IETF Venue Recommendation Form (Venues and Agents) [2]
- IETF Venue Assessment Report [3]
Discussions on these consultations and the changes made following community
feedback have primarily taken place on [email protected].
Finally, please note that from now on, anyone wishing to nominate a venue for
an exploratory meeting, should send that recommendation to
[email protected] rather than [email protected]. This is fully documented in
the new process.
