The IESG has received a request from the IPv6 Maintenance WG (6man) to consider the following document: - 'Representing IPv6 Zone Identifiers in Address Literals and Uniform Resource Identifiers' <draft-ietf-6man-rfc6874bis-02.txt> as Proposed Standard
The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the last-c...@ietf.org mailing lists by 2022-09-26. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to i...@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract This document describes how the zone identifier of an IPv6 scoped address, defined as <zone_id> in the IPv6 Scoped Address Architecture (RFC 4007), can be represented in a literal IPv6 address and in a Uniform Resource Identifier that includes such a literal address. It updates the URI Generic Syntax and Internationalized Resource Identifier specifications (RFC 3986, RFC 3987) accordingly, and obsoletes RFC 6874. The file can be obtained via https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-6man-rfc6874bis/ No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D. _______________________________________________ IETF-Announce mailing list IETF-Announce@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ietf-announce
