This document (once approved) obsoletes RFC 8399. Working Group Summary There was broad WG agreement to avoid the security issues arising from using A-labels instead of U-labels. Document Quality This document fixes important security vulnerabilities in deployed email systems by removing some of the complexity around how internationalized email addresses are encoded.
