Dear Colleagues,

According to[ RFC 8713](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8713) it is Sally Wentworth’s task, as Internet Society President, to select a new NomCom chair. She has asked me to support her in this effort.

We have [drafted a job description](https://github.com/InternetSociety/IETF-NomCom-Chair/blob/main/JobDescription.md) that forms the basis for Sally's search and we are following the practice of using trusted individuals, such as former nomcom chairs, IETF BoT members, and her own network to scout for a new nomcom chair.

That said, feel free to send me suggestion for names that meet the requirements in [the job description](https://github.com/InternetSociety/IETF-NomCom-Chair/blob/main/JobDescription.md) and a reason why they should be considered. Preferably before the Bangkok IETF. Any suggestion will be treated with required confidentiality. My PGP-ID is [E02D2FBD](https://keys.openpgp.org/vks/v1/by-fingerprint/84B2088BDBA73B66CB243B15CCDE04E4E02D2FBD).

Best,
