The IESG has approved the following document:
- 'Time-Variant Routing (TVR) Requirements'
  (draft-ietf-tvr-requirements-10.txt) as Informational RFC

This document is the product of the Time-Variant Routing Working Group.

Technical Summary

Time-Variant Routing (TVR) refers to calculating a path or subpath
through a network where the time of message transmission (or receipt)
is part of the overall route computation. This means that, all
things being equal, a TVR computation might produce different results
depending on the time that the computation is performed without other
detectable changes to the network topology or other cost functions
   associated with the route.

This document introduces requirements where TVR computations could
improve message exchange in a network.

Working Group Summary

Was there anything in the WG process that is worth noting?
For example, was there controversy about particular points
or were there decisions where the consensus was
   particularly rough?

WG consensus represents broad agreement within the TVRWG.

Document Quality

Are there existing implementations of the protocol? Have a
significant number of vendors indicated their plan to
implement the specification? Are there any reviewers that
merit special mention as having done a thorough review,
e.g., one that resulted in important changes or a
conclusion that the document had no substantive issues? If
there was a MIB Doctor, Media Type, or other Expert Review,
what was its course (briefly)? In the case of a Media Type
Review, on what date was the request posted?

This is not a protocol document.

There were some discussions around common terminology, security considerations,
and potential requirements on timing resolution. In each case, the discussion
was informative and converged on a common answer. None of the consensus was
particularly rough.

This is an informational document capturing requirements specific to
time-variant routing.

Personnel

The Document Shepherd for this document is Edward J. Birrane. The
Responsible Area Director is Gunter Van de Velde.

IANA Note
