RFC9945 published earlier this year defines a new approach to moderation in the IETF community. The first step of implementing RFC9945 is the appointment of a “moderator team initially consist[ing] of no fewer than five individuals” by the IESG.
This announcement serves as notice that the following individuals have been appointed by the IESG to serve on the moderation team: * Chris Box * Martin Duke * Bron Gondwana * Susan Hares * Murray Kucherawy * Mohit P. Tahiliani On behalf of the community, the IESG thanks Chris, Martin, Bron, Sue, Murray and Mohit for their willingness to serve in this critical role. The next steps defined by RFC9945 is for the moderation team to develop initial procedures which will be approved by the IESG before going into effect. Until then, existing procedures apply.
