I am writing to inform the community that Tommy Jensen, Internet (INT) Area Director, has resigned from the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) as of 1 October, 2026.
The IESG has notified the Nominating Committee (NomCom) so they may begin work to fill the vacancy per RFC 8713. The IESG will continue to fulfill its responsibilities as the NomCom does its work. Éric Vyncke, co-AD for the INT area, will be the primary point of contact for the area. In the coming days, the responsible AD for Tommy's working groups will be temporarily reassigned and his document load redistributed.
