Market research, such as understanding the reasons for consumer choices, can 
indeed be helpful.  However attempting to study the reasons that potential 
"consumers" of DKIM do or not deploy it requires fundamentally different 
methodology, and produces fundamentally different information, than the 
implementation report.

Simply put, one looks for a few kinds of 'what' and the other looks for a few 
kinds of 'why'.  One obtains objective data.  The other subjective.

In addition in this particular case, they the target subjects are in explicitly 
non-overlapping populations.  One has deployed DKIM.  The other has not.
