Linux OS

Greetings all:

        we are currently a MS shop and some have expressed interest in Linux
(I expect because of the low $$). We 
        looking at have an Oracle dB. However the interest is that it run on
a Linux 7.0 Mandrake OS. 
        
        I am not very up-to-date on Linux and would appreciate knowing  if
anyone has any pros/cons on using Linux under Oracle.
