The IAB has been deliberating the selection of the liaison from the IETF community to ICANN Board over the past several weeks. The IAB was very pleased to have a strong set of candidates. We very much appreciate the willingness of so many talented people to serve the community in this position.
The IAB has selected Jonne Soininen for this position, replacing Thomas Narten. The IAB extends our sincere thanks to Thomas for serving the community for so long in this role. Thomas has done a fantastic job. The IAB extends our sincere thanks to Jonne for agreeing to serve in this position. We are sure that Jonne will do a fantastic job going forward.
