Hi there, Sorry if this isnt the correct medium for this but....
I've been having a play around with the 3.5 OSS backend in conjunction with the windows (3.4) client. On the backend I have enabled SSL and uncommented the lines in the ifolder_webaccess.conf to enable HTTP to HTTPS redirection for the webaccess site. This works great for webaccess giving me an encrypted communications channel when using webaccess to access iFolder(s). I'm wondering if this could also work for the Windows (or any other platforms) client? i.e. A trace (with the backend configured as above) shows that the client seems to talk HTTP to the backend. Is it possible to change this to talk HTTPS if the backend supports it? I realise the files themselves are not encrypted on the server, but encrypting the communications channel would be reasonably useful (for me anyway :) ). I'd be interested to hear if this is possible. Cheers, _______________________________________________ ifolder-dev mailing list [email protected] http://forge.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/ifolder-dev
