Hi Tim, As Nitin mentioned the stable developer version is available at www.ifolder.com, which can be downloaded and used. This version of server needs the new iFolder client as well, which is also available at the same place.
We would recommend you to send us the current server/client deployment information so that we can validate whether the upgrade will work seamlessly or any manual changes will be required. This would help both of us to have a good upgrade experience. Information that we require are 1. Server version (iFolder and the Linux server version) 2. Client version being used (iFolder client and the Linux/Windows desktop version) 3. Server mode (SimpleServer is already mentioned) 4. Total data size 5. Number of users 6. Is sharing of iFolders is used? 7. Is Nautilus plugin going to be used? Upgrade questions 1. Is same setup is going to be continued? Or multiple server feature is going to be used? 2. Can a pilot deployment of iFolder 3.6 be tried before upgrading the existing server? I would recommend you to take this upgrade in a phased manner, so that we know the risks and contingencies at every phase. This would also help us understand whether you should wait for a more stable build or can continue to use the existing build, since we are getting some critical fixes for various upgrade cases. This was the version before Novell open sourced the "enterprise" version, the one running simpleserver. I am looking to upgrade this server to a more recent version. A couple of weeks ago I was told that a stable version would be coming out at the end of January and that I should hold out till then. I am wondering how far away you guys are from a release. I can wait a little more if it's right around the corner but my users are having all kind of problems since I moved the ifolder server to another machine in another time zone. I am hoping the newer version does not have the same problem and can deal with different time zones better.
