Hi Jeff, Thanks for the information. Is it possible to send the Simias.log of the client. The mail does't mention whether it is Windows/Linux, so the Simias.log file will be in the respective home directory of that user. Windows: <APP_PATH>/Local Settings/Simias/Simias.log
Linux: <home dir>/.local/share/simias/Simias.log Kalis >>> "Jeff Vogt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 7/24/2007 12:05 AM >>> Hi, I manage about 30 computers on our network here. We recently started using iFolder as a backup system. In the last 5 days, three of the machines' simias.exe processes have started eating memory to the point where the computer is out of resources. We are using the 3.6 client from the ifolder.com homepage. Our server is build 6871, using the mod_proxy fix for the 16K Bug. What we see on these systems, is the iFolder UI specifies that it is "Waiting to Synchronize", while the Simias.log complains that the "Server for [random ifolder] is unavailable." It does eventually begin to sync, but the UI never changes from "Waiting to Synchronize". It is at this time that Simias.exe starts hogging memory. One machine was up to 680mb before we killed it. I would be happy to provide any additional information to help determine the source of this problem. I would also be interested to know if anybody else has experienced this issue. Sorry if this is the wrong place. I'm not really looking for a fix though, just letting everyone know of this issue that has come up in a larger deployment of iFolder. _______________________________________________ ifolder-dev mailing list [email protected] http://forge.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/ifolder-dev
