Hi iFolder developer community!
We are two summer student employees at UNINETT in Norway *considering
*contributing
to iFolder. We originally set out to make something very similar, but then
we eventually discovered iFolder, which looks very much like what we had in
mind!

Only about six weeks remain of our internship, so in order to get something
done we would need some guiding from someone who's more familiar with the
project, help on choosing a task of appropriate size and so on. (However,
it's not improbable that at least one of us will continue contributing after
the employment period, so any resources spent on getting us started might
not be a total waste.)

We've been around your IRC channel for a couple of days, with nicks *vikholt
*and *hellesof*.

I have a lot of ideas and thoughts about documentation, web page layout and
all the appearance related stuff, while my colleague Helle seems to be quite
determined she wants to code something. We will be able to test the server
side software on an openSUSE installation tomorrow, and thus also the
client.

I already have this question:
When you install the iFolder client, you have to input the domain address of
an iFolder server, which some people wanting to try out iFolder might not
have or be able to install. How about the project offered one or two
(Europe, USA, ) test servers for this purpose?

UNINETT <http://www.uninett.no/index.en.html> is a non-profit group owned by
the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. It supplies network and
network services to universities and research institutions in Norway.

Sincerely, on behalf of Helle Benjaminsen and myself,
Ola Brunborg Vikholt
