I'm very excited about what I've been able to get working so far in my environment but do have some usability issues. I don't really have the time to work on the code base now but would like to see what it takes to get these issues addressed before I recommend iFolder to my team. Would anyone be willing to help? I would like to get some understanding of what it would take to fix these bugs and a general sense of the complexity of the code base. The issues I've found so far are:
- improved sync progress indicator. During the syncing of large directories, the client shows erratically changing # of files left to sync, and the sync complete indication is not always reliable sometimes requiring multiple syncs. In general there is no clear indication of how long a synch will take. - enable selective disconnect of spaces. In the client it seems like if you have multiple spaces, you have to disconnect all of them to disconnect one. I want to be able to allow suspending of any sync activity for selected spaces until explicit user action to resume. - Provide conflict notification in the windows task bar. If there is a conflict in any of the spaces, provide a visual cue through the task bar icon as long as conflict exists. Any help in understanding if these are known issues/enhancements already planned would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have the time to address these issues, I would like to meet and discuss further. I'm in a bit of a time crunch and so would like this addressed soon. There's the possibility that I can compensate you for the time you spend on the issues above, and you can of course commit your changes back to the open source project for consideration. Thank you!
