So I've been toying with the idea for months and done various bits of preliminary planning and such, so now I think the time is ripe to sick it on you. I'm going to run a campaign. It's simply a question of who and when. I'll probably open it to people other than those in STOCS, but the most important thing is that i get players who are interested, motivated and will hold up their end of the campaign - ie. show up to games, put effort into their character and back story and perhaps even write those little character journal/write ups that i like so much. Experience in the system isnt necessary (though probably an advantage) and i dont expect anyone to be familiar with it.
The campaign is set in the mythical empire of Zhongguo (think medieval china with anthromorphs (animals given human form - best to think of them as non-humans rather than sex objects eh?) and magic and a rich backstory and culture). There will be room in the campaign for about four players. I'm not keen on going above this number as it becomes more difficult to manage and more likely that some people might miss games. As I've said, the campaign will probably be open to anyone interested and motivated enough, and so may or may not run at stocs, but possibly at an alternative venue that is easily accessible to all players. Blurb follows: Jadeclaw: A Broken Blade Part 1 The Shadow of War The King is dead and the Middle Kingdom of Zhongguo teeters on the brink of civil war. As the lines are drawn and the gulf between the ruling houses widens, in the ancient city of Majing a centuries old riddle will finally be solved... I will develop some of the storyline a little when i have some feedback from possibly interested players. Either reply here or email me.
