This was sent to the SCA requesting their help with the project. It was
commented that it might be better suited to the top-hat and waistcoat
wearing gamer community, so I've passed it on. Ifyou're interested, contact
Estelle about it.

I have no idea more than what's written here about what this is about, and
make no claims for what, if anything, this is really about.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Estelle Clements, I'm the producer of last years Bram Stoker
Wedding which took place at St. Anns parish in Dublin (links about this
enclosed below). I'm currently liasing with Dublin City Libraries
regarding this years One City, One Book event which will be Oscar
Wildes' "The Picture of Dorian Gray". This year I will be launching not
only a piece of theatre, but a digital re-creation of 1890 using sites
like facebook, twitter and skype to allow the public to interact with
the world and people of 1890. I know that your focus is pre 17th
century, but I wondered if you might have members also interested in the
period of 1890 and the world of Oscar Wilde who would be interested in
volunteering as characters? I have provided some brief info below.
I am available via email, or on my mobile at 0858485825, as well as
my post grad office number at DIT- 01 402 7191. Any assistance you might
be able to render would be of greatly appreciated.
  Thank you for your time.
  Sincerely,
 Estelle Clements.

“There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that
is not being talked about.”

So Oscar Wilde wrote, and who would know better? Wilde’s much
talked-about life provides an opportunity to involve the public in the
world of history, social networking and digital civics like never
before. It offers an opportunity to re-live the scandal and excitement
of his life and arrest in the 1890s while functioning as a valuable
instrument of civic education.

Become part of the 1890s following the daily lives and digital
interactions of the glitterati through Facebook, Twitter and even in
real life when they take to the streets. Snag photo’s of the famous
personas walking through Dublin, tag them and yourself, watch the drama
unfolding as the famous post their lives online, or create a scandal
yourself when you post to their walls:

Engage in a battle of wits with Oscar Wilde

 Gossip with Henry Irving

Flirt with the beautiful Ellen Terry

Investigate Sherlock’s next case with Arthur Conan Doyle
