Yes, I have already tried that. And then I noticed that rpm does not seem
to allow the use of --rebuild or -b , and a quick look at the installed
packages showed me:

  [tzafrir@iglu tzafrir]$ rpm -qa |grep rpm
  rpm-build-3.0.4-0.48
  rpm-devel-3.0.4-0.48
  rpm-4.0.2-6x
