afternoon. >From the list archives I see that you guys are running low on disk space. is the5-6 day pause in Debian connected? when are you expecting a regain of service?
btw, I noticed /pub/GNU/ has index files in it rather than have the directories be auto-created by the apache module, and I'm risking a guess it's been downloaded via a web mirror (recursive wget?) instead of an rsync or FTP mirror... this could mean that old versions of files are not removed during the mirror run. all in all it seems to be accessed so rarely it seams hard to justify. looking at choo's stats: GNU takes up 4.5G but only 0.8G downloaded a month Debian takes up 21G but gets downloaded 66G a month. If you look at these ratios as a rating for what mirrors can make room for their neighbours, I think GNU and KDE can say bye-bye. however the table choo made up does not include people downloading via the web access to /pub (like I pull my nightly apt-get upgrade and entire installations at multiple sites) your call on what to remove, but please get the blood flowing again :-) I love having an amazingly speedy mirror of Debian on iglu. kudos, etc. Much appreciated, guys! -- The freshmaker Ira Abramov http://ira.abramov.org/email/ This post is encrypted twice with ROT-13.
