I would like to bring again the issue of cvs/subversion here. I need it to the translation project of Mandrake 9.2, and don't like knocking on other doors. I do know there is no backup, and I can live with it.
Let the flames begin.
CVS/subversion whatever is non-trivial.
Actually, making sure a Subversion service is secure is just a matter of making sure Apache 2.0.x and OpenSSL are upgraded.
If we upgrade to RedHat 9.0 or Debian (or Mandrake...), then it will only
be a matter of invoking the right package manager command when an update
is issued.
If Diego wants, I believe we can put that on beak.hamakor.org.il. Diego - can you please explain what is needed? Do you need an anonymous pserver? All services on beak are hardened to the teeth, so it will be a properly chrooted environment, of course. What's wrong with belios or one of the sourceforge clones out there?
Having said that, if one of the admins volunteers to maintain it
(securely!), I don't see a problem with it.
