I don't need a root password to maintain my homepage. Nor do I need 150
MB. However, I expect my homepage to grow in time, and wish to make sure
there is enough space for the Subversion repositories to feel comfortable.
At the moment I have 70,000 KB available on stalker which is enough, but
putting my homepage there will leave me with less space to manuever. BTW,
I do intend to become a stalker member proper, once I have enough positive
income.

There seems to be some kind of quoting problem in your signature. Do you
use Tabs there?

Writing a BitKeeper replacement is probably easier at this point than getting
its license changed.
