Hi all,

The iglu server, running Debian stable, is up and running. root password was changed. People who are interested in getting their old account activated on the new server, or ask for the new password, are kindly requested to explicitly ask for it from either me or Tzafrir. Qualifications for getting the new root password are:
1. Prove you know the old password.
2. You ask for it.

This is intended primarily as a means of eliminating people who had no use for the old root password.

At the moment, the server is only running qmail and ezmlm. I have removed the vpopmail setup from the machine, as it was not doing anything useful. I do realize that there was ONE person who was using POP3 to get his email directly from the machine. This does not strike me as a good enough reason to keep a POP3 server installed and an open port listening.

The server name is now officially "eskimo.iglu.org.il", to distinguish the server from the iglu.org.il domain. DNS does not yet contain it, but will in a few minutes.

I hope this clears most of the burning questions.

            Shachar
