Well, so far, I only heard rumours about Torvalds having anti-Israeli
opinions, without much proof pro or to the contrary. (albeit someone may dig
such things by STFWing). This is the first time I hear about him being
somewhat antisemitic, and I'm very skeptical if it's true. (albeit it may be
conceivable). For once, I read in an article somewhere, (misplaced, sorry)
that he greatly admires Albert Einstein, which as we all know was Jewish.

Here's some controversial political opinion of mine which I have to say in
this context to elaborate on the subject, but ask that it won't start a
political flamewar. Despite being a Jew, a (proud) Israeli, an Israeli
Citizen, Israeli-born, etc., I oppose all forms of constitutional
discrimination, whether the one enacted in Israel, or in general. I think the
constitutional discrimination against non-Jews is doing a lot of damage to
Israel, and think it should be promptly removed, with proper constitutional
measures taken to ensure the integrity of the country and its Liberal nature
persist.

As such, I can fully understand non-Israelis and/or non-Jews who criticize
Israel for its discriminatory nature, as this opinion is postively justified.
Just how much this opinion has to influence one's actions, is debatable.
(considering the fact that I'm not entirely happy with the bylaws of any
other country). The reason I still support Israel, is that as a whole it is
ran better than most of the countries in the Middle East, and it is, in
general, a good place to live in.

Anyway, you can E-mail me in private if you wish me to elaborate on these
matters. There's an essay I've been meaning to write about how Israel can
help itself out of the current external political mess, but did not yet. I
can give a rough sketch of it so far.
