You assume that people would follow the link, or even notice it, etc. That's 
something one cannot assume because of the fact that when dealing with 
user-interfaces, people usually don't read what's displayed on the screen. 
The IGLU Frontpage is crowded enough with links that are not too large, as it 
is, and I find it hard to believe someone will notice another one.

I recall that I tried accessing mirror.hamakor.org.il with FTP, just because I 
was used to the fact that such mirrors have FTP services. I was dismayed to 
discover I couldn't connect to it using FTP, and had to settle with HTTP. 
People are used to FTPing into mirror sites, and it's a well-accepted 
convention that they do, and people are going to try that.
