Hi,
I'm sending this again to the list. Can anyone think of things I should
take care while upgrading?
p.s.
Does any one want to help with the upgrade?
I can help. Tell me what to do.

Hi,
I'd like to start listing show stoppers for upgrading beak (=hamakor's
server) from Debian woody to sarge.
Also, list major tests to be done after the upgrade.
as far as I know:
1. mail configuration. Alon, I need some info here (especially the
mailing lists).
It's a qmail system with ezmlm. The mailing list and aliases are all
handled under ~alias. Users' mail handled through their homedir
2. web configuration. I know of [www,beak,mirror].hamakor.org.il.
Anything else?
august.penguin.org.il is also on beak, and maybe other servers. Check the
config file to make sure.
3. DB configuration. Anything special except plain tables? (which can be
dumped as a backup)
There are also several views in the database, and a "testing" version. You
can use pg_dump to dump the main database "hamakor" and "hamakor_tests".
4. Users home dir - should not be touched in the upgrade.
Good.
Are there other services I'm missing?
beak is also Hamakor's DNS server for hamakor.org.il and linux.org.il.
My goal is to do the upgrade around mid September.
I guess that won't happen...
Please coordinate the downtime with me. I want to make sure that the W2L
site and other critical services (mail) remain up during the transition.
