Ira made it originally. There's supposed to be a cronjob which mails the
mirror admin when not all rsync sources are covered by the firewall
rules, but really, don't count me as a supporter of the way things are
now :) If you ask me, just remove those rules (with due caution - after
all, you're updating firewall rules remotely!).
