Hi all!
I needed to tell the Actcom support people to reboot Eskimo a few minutes ago,
because it became completely unresponsive to both HTTP and SSH. (it did
answer pings, though).
I still don't know why it happened, but the logs can possibly reveal the
problem.
One thing I'd like to have is a remote lightweight service that can be used to
automatically shut down all services except ssh. More details about this idea
will be posted to Linux-IL.
I also think it's high time we upgraded Eskimo's memory. I am available in the
upcoming weeks, but as August Penguin is getting sooner I'll probably be more
and more busy in organisations. Who can drive me to Haifa from my home at
Ramat Aviv Gimel or at least pick up the memory units and install them
himself?
Regards,
