these were taken a few minutes apart...
green:~# ntpdc -c peers
remote local st poll reach delay offset disp
=======================================================================
=svlug.svlug.org 192.168.11.42 3 64 377 0.15645 517.75761 0.00255
=iix.net.il 192.168.11.42 2 64 377 0.02716 422.72678 0.00465
now here I run ntpdate to synch, it exits OK but:
green:~# ntpdc -c peers
remote local st poll reach delay offset disp
=======================================================================
=svlug.svlug.org 192.168.11.42 3 64 377 0.16412 813.69595 0.00182
=iix.net.il 192.168.11.42 2 64 373 0.02180 646.59118 0.00580
green:~# ntpdc -c peers
remote local st poll reach delay offset disp
=======================================================================
=svlug.svlug.org 192.168.11.42 3 64 377 0.16412 813.69595 0.00237
=iix.net.il 192.168.11.42 2 64 357 0.03912 737.73397 0.00534
I find iix going nuts alarming, but svlug is synching to Nasa... and
BOTH are showing crazy offsets that I can't figure out...
the local clock is correct though... any ideas what's going wrong here?
