Let Outbreak do it for you (with some help from Free Software): fire up an IMAP server with Maildir support (Courier-IMAP comes to mind) on a Linux box and export the Maildir there. Open up the IMAP folder using Outbreak and just drag and drop from the IMAP folder to the local folders. You probably will have to break the Maildir into several folders because I have serious doubts about Outbreak being able to handle so many messages at once. > > > why on EARTH would anyone want to > > keep stuff in pst? > > cause this is the new enviroment this guy has to work in. Put it on an Internet server somewhere and connect from work. I've been doing it for years. This has the very real advantage of separating work mail from personal mail and if he uses IMAP over SSL his mail can even stay private, something you can't expect to have in the work sponsored mail in this sad times... > > > either way, this kind of a question should not be on this list :) > > i know, sorry about that. > this is why i said that i came up empty, and came here as a last way out. > sorry if i am bugging anyone...
