If you are using Visual Studio.NET you have to have FPSE 2000 or later
extensions on the server to upload. If you ftp you don't need FPSE but I
haven't ftp'd anything that used code behind so take that with a grain
of salt assuming your "guys" are using Visual Studio.NET and code
behind.

Properly patched and kept patched FPSE are no more insecure than any
other MS server technology.

What are your guys thoughts on FPSE? My developers are screaming that
they HAVE TO HAVE IT for thier .NET development. Apparently they say you
have to have it to deploy .NET web apps.
It seems to me that all I hear about FPSE is that it is evil and
insecure. I need some input on this.
