* cd <path of folder>
* rm -rf <name of file>

this is good enough to delete any file from anywhere.

btw - Desktop.ini is not a virus. It is a window's file which contain some
information about a current folder , like theme, icon for a folder .
Everytime you insert pendrive in window system, it will be create , if you
customise a folder. However you this file can work as Autostart file also.
as per my knowledge , may virus do create this file to give the path of
execution of virus exe file. when user click on a folder to open it, this
got executed ,  that is why it is always recommand for a foder , "right
click and explore" then "double click a folder".

year bofore , mine friend was having hundred and hundreds of .ini files in
her 100+ GB harddisk. I some shell command to remove them mannually. click
