Well, I have been running ubuntu 7.04 for quite some time now and am quite satisfied. But the geek inside is obviously not, and thus I have decided to upgrade. I have got an ubuntu 8.04 free dvd. I need any pointers, catches which you all think noteworthy. Some queries I have - What of the softwares I have installed? Will they all be deleted ? Would I need mega downloads from net? Do settings remain preserved? like firefox bookmarks, tomboy notes etc? Finally does anyone have ubuntu 64 bit 8.10? If I am upgrading, might as well upgrade to the latest.
