I am using ultimate edition 1.9(based on ubuntu 8.04.2)
i have preinstalled gparted(0.3.5-1ubuntu4) and has a menu option
called "partition editor"

it is capable of producing all these file formats

ext2,ext3,fat16,fat32,hfs,hfs+,jfs,linux-
swap,NTFS,reiser4,reiserfs,ufs,xfs
