Yaleo -- Supernatural! :) Great album! My 2 cents. I tried doing something like that long back. I didn't get great quality but got it right by hit and miss. Try different (low) volume settings of your walkman and different settings for line-in volume (the idea is to make sure there is no clipping and when the sound is digitized/quantized, there is least amount of information drop). If your initial recording is good (little noise), then you should think about applying filters like noise-removal or even normalization.
