Hi, I am using Fedora 10 and I find that the volume in my computer is less. I make all the volume control to their max and still do not get adequate sound . What I do now is use mplayer with -af volume=20 option. Although that solves the problem because mplayer plays anything, but I do not like the idea of getting tied to only one player. I have xine, totem, ogle, kaffein, vlc, and xbmc installed in my system, all of which work just fine except that the volume problem, because they do not have any such option as mplayer does.
Is there any way to get rid of the problem by increase the system volume by a positive decibel? I am using alsa and NVidia HD sound driver running. As because, I always use headphones, I cannot be amplifying the sound with an external device. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Do you have another question?
