Hi,
You r right that this may give a problem i also having the same model of
dell . inspiron 1525 but i solved it by using ubuntu and i m using it from
one year in this model . There is no problem at all . so i think  u must use
ubuntu 9.04 or 8.10 in ur lappy. thaks may this help you .
