Hello Matlab users in IITD,I have no idea whether you people have ever given a try to Octave, or it is my ignorance that i do not have knowledge and many people use it in IITD. By the way, as i am a MATLAB user for last two years and for last six moths or so i usually try to execute MATLAB scripts on octave and almost all the time it works perfectly fine provided no toolbox specific functions specially symbolic math and all are used. As tomorrow there is going to be a meeting abt LINUX promotion as i guess, how abt including the issue of promotion of OCTAVE and Scilab(Another parallel to MATLAB on Linux with at least equivalent DSP toolbox) among us?
