i made some changes. Maybe there should be 3 sections--
1- for newbies/primary school ,
2--for secondary/higher secondary school/vocational guidance/employment in
trades schools,
3--for administrative staff/teachers/end users

Right now the focus is only on item no. 1 in what i see with respect to
FLOSS in education.

SVN and other source code mgt tools do not get any publicity outside the
technical world --they could be used for offbeat work such as
1--keeping track of meeting minutes etc which are generally on
repetitive/recurring issues/same topics
2--book publishing-- multiple versions etc

Moodle for administrative work is something i heard. Haven't heard of ERP
being used to manage schools/universities yet --but one never knows.

GIS is very important in this day and age primarily at the higher secondary/
staff level --could help build up citizen participation in urban/rural
governance and also as a town planning aid, and for vocational guidance

I have tried to keep various sections together. Maybe it can be arranged
better with the passage of time.
