Hi ya Rishikesh, Two ways to solve your problem :- Easy : download and install compiled version available as .Deb file installer on ubuntu- definitely vlc player is available.
Slightly harder: To install km player you can do the following:- 1. Do you know how to open terminal window in linux ? Open terminal window. 2. Use gunzip filename.bz to extract files in a new directory. 3. Type make install make-filename to compile and install kmplayer Use man or google to re check exact syntax of commands I mention above.
