hi guys... i recently installed ubuntu on my system. My internet modem is not being detected in ubuntu . the modem is beetel 100cx and has a usb connector . when i connect it to pc in ubuntu the light on it doesn't glow . i tried a number of solutions which i could find on the net but they didn't seem to work . number of people had suggested tht u shift to ethernet connector modem to solve this. Is tht the only solution ??? I am new to linux so plz try to give step by step directions . Thanx...
