*Free Culture Roadshow in India*

As you all know, Mozilla represents more than just Firefox and the open
Web. Our community shares similar values and goals with other
organizations and technology movements. One of my personal favorites
and one that a lot of students can get behind is the Free Culture
movement <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Culture_movement>.

We are helping out with a Free Culture Roadshow <http://fcroadshow.net/>
that will be traveling across India throughout December... and want to
get our Campus Reps involved. There are a few official talks
<http://fcroadshow.net/?p=33> scheduled, but we also want to hear what
you have to say! I encourage anyone that is passionate about the open
Web and believes in enabling everyone to create, share, remix, and
distribute creative works to sign up to talk!
<http://fcroadshow.net/?page_id=7> /*Be sure to read the guidelines
before signing up. ;-)*/

Here are the confirmed dates and stops (more dates TBA, so check the
website):

   * December 7, 2009 *IIT-B, Mumbai* (10am to 2pm)
   * December 7, 2009 *TISS, Mumbai* (4:30pm to 7pm)
   * December 8, 2009* Anna University, Chennai
     *
   * December 9, 2009* IIT-M, Chennai*
   * December 13, 2009 *India International Centre, Delhi*
   * December 14, 2009* Mount Carmel College, Bangalore*
   * December 15, 2009 *Open Video Summit, Bangalore*
   * December 16, 2009* CIS Office, Bangalore*
   * December 22, 2009* Jadavpur University, Kolkata*

If you are nearby one of the stops and know friends interested in Free
Culture, I encourage you all to go and get your 5 minutes of fame!

Introducing "Mo", our new Campus Reps mascot!*

We will be launching a new Firefox page for students very soon to
encourage all of you to help spread Firefox on campus. As part of the
design process, I worked with an artist to create new illustrations that
we could use to represent our Campus Reps program and students that love
Firefox in general. The previous newsletter gave you a sneak peak at a
possible mascot... and after some thought, I decided to make it official
and name him "Mo".

In early 2010, we will also have new localized versions of the Campus
Reps Guide in Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and German. So look for
more of "Mo" in the new year!
