But just some suggestions from me:--

(1) in beginning we should promote it-- and structure it like a
mini-workshop-- that in 2-long meeting; have a 30-40 minute talk or
something about some topic also--- and encourage people to bring their
Laptops and wifi routers---
so that even if somebody from out of town--- whether nainital or jaipur or
bangalore is in delhi OR if someone from another part of delhi is around
IIT-delhi---> then it becomes like a landmark or attraction--- which a geek
feels need to visit.

(2) in the beginning I think we should have it slightly less frequent-- say
maybe one LUG meet every 2 weeks--->>
so that there is a sense of "special event to be reached on time and
attended" among people.
If it is too common--- and crowd is too limited--- then it will become like
a "IIT Internal meet"--- rather than a event for geeks-at-large.

(3) We should target audience beyond the standard ILUG-D + IIT +
Barcamp/FOSS audience-- maybe put posters in random delhi colleges OR even
in some cyber cafes--- so that geeks that are extremely passionate about
tech-- but otherwise totally random can also show up-- and add variety and
flavour to the gathering.

What say ?

Regards,

N.S
