However, some months back-- on a Linux user group, I met a professor who was a HOD in a engg college-- and he actually over a weekend re-formatted all the systems of a lab-- and put Ubuntu linux in all. That same monday-- people-- who did not know why user interface changed-- tried to use computers-- and in a few hours everyone had been exposed to Linux.
