Hello I am using ubuntu desktop 9.10..a few days ago due to power failure (unluckily my UPS too not working). When I restarted the PC, file system was tested and finally the test failed and it ran on shell mode.
After attempting a few times to make it work, I finally decided to reinstall ubuntu. Then when after finishing the installation, the message shown after reboot was: " grub failed ". I tried to reinstall it again and again after finishing the installation it shows " No filesystem found" at startup. After all this, I finally decided to give a try to install it inside windowz, then too, during the installation process after reboot, it said: "No boot drive specified, use partition manager".
