hi chetan,
!!!!(what is being calculated, what kind of program is it master/
slave ?)!!!!
I am doing simulations to calculate some properties, say, energy. I
get different values of energies when number of nodes are increased.
eg. when i use 2 node, output= -223.5653426
4 node, output= -223.5659787
6 node, output= -223.5651216, clearly
different output of the "SAME PROGRAM" on "SAME OS SYSTEM".
But one MUST get same output (when i use "double precison" for
output ), irrespective of the number of nodes.
i am doing this over a WORKSTATION(Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @
2.27GHz) having 16 processors.
Message passing interface used is mpich2.1.2.1.
less /opt/cpuinfo gives following information...>

more.)

I think mpi(message passing interface) has bugs ? can you tell me how
mpi works? Because in parallel run, libraries of mpi are used.
i can provide you "config.log" file created after the compilation of
mpich2.1.2.1.
please tell me what, addition informatiom, i should provide you ?
