Hi again, I tried the above suggestions. Now iitd website opens without proxy, thanks HacKitT. However, I still need to provide proxy for apt-get. I am providing all my settings below:
IP: 10.160.1.xxx Gateway: 10.160.1.1 DNS: 10.160.1.2,10.160.2.2 Proxy Server: 10.10.3.14::3128 I edited the bashrc file to have a proxy authentication. I have set my sources.list file to the poorvi kramic repository. Alok, please tell me how can I >change your DNS, to access local sites without proxy. and for packages >installation set properly sources.list and use package manager without proxy >for poorvi, otherwise poorvi wont work.
