Large number of such incidents have been in picture especially in recent
past, most of these attacks are from China, Russia and Pakistan. (I am
mentioning the attacks not on the national data or info, these are those
attacks which aims at general public, with a healthy web presence and
zombiefying their machines)

A large number of fake twitter, Facebook and other web apps have come-in
which makes one fall into trap by, making one log into the original account
through the fake app, in the process the username and passwords
are compromised.

Also, most people have two passwords, and they use one of them on most of
the sites/apps, this tendency should be strictly avoided, and only trusted
apps should be used, also avoid commenting on unknown sites through your
main google account, use openID wherever possible.

There are umpteen number of such precautions, too much to mention here, but
if any other important point, please mention here..
