I upgraded to ubuntu 10.04 using the ubuntu-10.04-alternate-i386.iso
available in the institute repository and ever since my system
complains that the package adobe-flashplugin is broken.

Attempting to remove the broken package with synaptic returns the
following error:
E: adobe-flashplugin: subprocess installed pre-removal script returned
error exit status 2.

I also tried "sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq adobe-
flashplugin" from the cli, which returned this
update-alternatives: error: no alternatives for iceape-flashplugin.
update-alternatives: error: no alternatives for iceape-flashplugin.
dpkg: error processing adobe-flashplugin (--remove):
subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 2
postinst called with argument `abort-remove'
dpkg: error while cleaning up:
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 adobe-flashplugin

Any solutions?
