You don't need Samba for file sharing with a VB host.

Steps you need to do are:

1. Install VB Guest Additions for Linux, the procedure of which you can get
in the Help files.
2. Share the relevant folders through the VB UI on your host system.

P.S.: It'll be better for your computer if you go the other way round, Linux
ans the host and Windows as the guest (if at all you need it!)
